Senior Project
My senior project at the University of Florida was completed during the Fall 2020 semester. Dr. Schneider served as my project advisor. The paper focused on the work of Dr. McKenney and his 2016 paper “Multi-core parallelism for plane sweep algoirthms as a foundation for GIS operations”. Dr. McKenney, by carefully selecting the boundary between regions, created a paradigm in which the plane sweep algorithm could be performed in parallel over seperate regions.

Latex for assignments
Using latex for my school assignments was once of the best decisions I made early on in my academic career. The excellent mathmatics typesetting was invaluable during math courses and the integration of citation management simplified the process of writing papers. I was also very concerned with ensuring my submitted assignments were consistent. I used two files to help me achieve that goal, a structure file I could store in a consistent location and a template that was copied for each assignment.

CIS4204- Penetration Testing
During the Fall 2020 semester, I had the privledge to take the course Penetration Testing with Dr. Wilson. This was an amazing course where the practical lab exercises were framed as a penetration test of a fictional company. The course walked through common attack vectors and then presented the student with the task of exploiting the vector in a lab environment. The course covered material from DNS enummeration to an attack against a WPA2-EAP access point.
